Mrs. Tatiana Bokuchava and Mr. Avtandil Osephaishvili representatives from the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) along with Ms. Irma Gugushvili, Head of Culture Department of Poti Municipality and Ms. Nino Chkhetia, Chief Specialist of Tourism and Investment Department of Kobuleti City Hall  participated in the Third Transnational Meeting, International Workshop and study visit within the project “Green Tourism and Historical Heritage – a stepping stone for the development of the Black Sea Basin” which was held in Izmail, Ukraine on 19 - 22 November 2019.

During the Third Transnational Meeting which was held on November 20, Ms. Tatiana Bokuchava, representative of NALAG made a presentation about the work carried out by the Association within the framework of the project. Afterwards participants discussed the Green Tourism Potential of protected areas in the Black Sea Basin (BSB) countries, Virtual guide and Roadmap, Stage of implementation of context research of the market potential for historical and cultural tourism in BSB.

Ms. Irma Gugushvili and Ms. Nino Chkheita made a presentations on “Tourism in Kobuleti Municipality” and “Cultural and Historical Heritage in Poti Municipality” during the International Workshop:  “Green, active and historical tourism development in the Black Sea countries” which was held on the second day of their visit.

The meeting continued on November 22 in the format of a study visit to present the cultural heritage in Izmail, Odessa region participants visited the “Winery Kolonist”.

The project “Green Tourism and Historical Heritage – a stepping stone for the development of the Black Sea Basin” (GreeTHis) brings together partners from 6 countries: Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Greece, Georgia and Romania.

The Project is implemented by the Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities (UBBSLA) in cooperation with NALAG and funded by the European Union. It was launched in 2018 and will last until 2021.
